Hello Terry,

I just started working as an English "teacher" in a bilingual pre-school in Germany. I have very little experience teaching English, and on op of that my kids are very young (aged 1-3). Do you have a website up yet that talks about your approach, or do you have any advice about entertaining English activities for this age group? I'm arts and crafts inclined, but it's hard to incorporate English into an activity that can hold their attention for very long. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Brianne

Dear Matt,
I just wanted to thank you for the great material you have provided to us all. It has made my life so much easier when teaching private students. I am Turkish and do lessons to earn extra cash for my family. I adopted 3 children 7 years ago and they are also enjoying learning English.
One of my students is autistic and he has just learnt to read. I test his understanding by doing 10 minute communicaion by writing what I have to say to him. He may answer in writing or verbally.

Thank you once again.

Kind regards,

Nese

this is very helpful. My students enjoyed the time. We can leave the boredom and experience great time in learning.

I will be teaching English to 4-11 yr olds in Costa Rica this October 2009. I am both excited and worried as I have not had any experience of teaching children. I have taught Adults but this was in IT.

So reading your ten top tips has given me a good starting point and eased the worry a little bit. At present I am doing a TEFL course which I will complete by July.
