A great warm up idea for Elementary Students

Recently, I have been using the listening exercises from 123 Listening as a warm up in my Elementary School age classes. At this point we have a bunch of topics, so it is really easy to pick one, download the audio and print out the worksheet appropriate for your class. I generally try to use an exercise appropriate to a topic we are studying, but sometimes I pick a random one as a review.
For Example: Food
This week I have been using the food listening exercises. There are 4 different levels of audio, so I have been asking my students to choose if they want a difficult or easy one. Of course they all say, “difficult!” The first thing I do is review the vocabulary on the worksheet, then do the listening exercise. If you want to do a little more with one of the worksheets with pictures on it, you can write the correct answers on the board, and ask the students to write the English below the picture.
So give it a try, and have fun! click here to go to www.123listening.com.
